After her first encounter with Psychology in high school, Dajana knew that it is the field in which she sees herself developing in the future. The initial idea of becoming a clinical psychologist with a cosy office sofa where people come and talk about their problems has faded from her mind, as she, in the first year of her undergraduate studies, got introduced to Mental Training and the field of sport psychology. Being a great sport enthusiast, and a dancer herself, she knew that that is the career path she would follow.

After completion of her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dajana decides to enroll in MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology course at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. After a year spent living and studying abroad, Dajana decided to come back to her hometown Zagreb where she wanted to start her career. That, however, was not possible without a master’s degree in Psychology from a Croatian university. As Dajana knows no boundaries, she returned to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and in only one year acquired another master’s degree.

Throughout the course of her education, Dajana always found time to take part in international European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations’ Congresses. She also fulfilled her lifelong dream of volunteering with children somewhere in Africa as she went and did so in Ghana.

Dajana came into contact with Mental Training again as she completed its education for coaches which marked the start of her professional development in the field of sport psychology. She saw Mental Training as a place where she can continue learning, sharpening her skills, and growing both personally and professionally while at the same time doing something she is passionate about – helping others become the best possible version of themselves.
