Lea has spent her life in a small town in east Croatia – Županja. Regardless of it being small, she managed to acquire various valuable experiences. On her mother’s initiative, she started going to folklor, a Croatia’s country dance, when she was only five years old. A couple of years later she tried cheerleading and handball. After trying out various sports that Županja had to offer, at the end of her primary school education Lea took a peek into the world of fitness. It resulted in a great passion and love towards it which is present to this day. Through high school, she volunteered in different organisations such as the Red Cross and had the experience of leading a summer camp.
Lea does not have an answer to the question of why she decided to pursue education in the field of Psychology. She was always intrigued by the complexity of human behaviour and the effect of mental state on it, hence, the chosen career path.
As she enrolled in the University she continued gaining practical experience in working with people. She likes to highlight the experience of volunteering in a European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations’ campaign “Mind the Mind” which has a goal of combating the stigma of mental disorders within the primary- and high schools.
During her undergraduate studies, Lea became familiar with Mental Training. Eager to acquire new knowledge and sharpen her skills, Lea started volunteering there. She was amazed by working with people who are willing to put in work and invest in their personal growth. The young athletes’ motivation for testing and expanding their boundaries, as well as the one from people from the general population who believe that they can be a better version of themselves enhanced her own desire to develop both personally and professionally.
As a Bachelor of Psychology, Lea is currently running educational programs for the youngest clients. Her enthusiasm and the enormous amount of effort she puts forth are a sign that she is at the right place where expanding her own limits is only at the beginning.
